It has been freezing here the past week or so, with highs only in the low 40's.  I am ready for summer already!

In early November we went to Wilmington because I volunteered to work a flag football tournament.  Luckily the weather was a little warmer.  My parents and Kyle took Nala to the Carolina Beach State Park and took this picture.  I love how she is so happy in the tall grass.  She loves it there.  On Wednesday we are driving to Wilmington to drop Nala off to hang out with parents over Thanksgiving.  Kyle and I are going to DC to visit with his family.  Then we'll spend Christmas at my house.  Nala is so excited to hang out and swim in the pool.

Toys for Tots

Thank you for everyone who donated a toy to our Toys for Tots collection. Kyle and I loaded my trunk last Saturday and brought the toys over to the football stadium. It is a good think I have a big trunk. We'll probably have to take another load next week.
Everyone was very gracious when we unloaded the toys. If you haven't donated and you live in the Raleigh area you can bring a new unwrapped toy to Harris Teeter.

NC State Golf Course Construction Walk

Nala's foot was finally healed enough to take her on a walk today.  We decided to go to the construction site of the NC State Golf Course which is scheduled to open next March/April.  Of course, she has been grumpy in the house so she went absolutely wild.  The course is going to be beautiful when it is complete.  On the top of one hill on the course you can see the buildings downtown.  The course is really long, hilly, and sandy so it may not be so much fun to walk when carrying a 10 lb. golf bag but fun when you are just strolling.

I got a 2009 Mazda 6 last Tuesday.  It is different having a 4-door, but I am getting used to it.  Here are some pictures.

This week I will be searching for a new car. Mine is 11 years old and I've spent $3,000 on it this year and there is another problem. So, I am getting a new car.
