Back to School

Classes officially start today! But the past week or so have been in sane. On Sunday we hosted our annual Welcome Back Pack Event, RecFest. This is the forth or fifth year that we've run the event and it just keeps getting bigger. I got to school at 11:00am and drove around campus in our gator for two hours passing out freeze pops and telling everyone to come to RecFest and at 2:00pm we started set up. The event is from 5:30-8:30, but starting at 4:30pm we already had a line. In the first hour we had 2,000 participants. Total we had about 4,500 students at the event. It was great fun, free food, and free tshirts.
Sunday started what we call hell week. This week is full of training, meetings, hiring students, surprise visits from every student you know, and more training. It will settle down a little after Labor Day.

Here is a picture of the line before the event.
